To an Old Lover

I don't love you anymore,
Don't know how I ever did before.

It was young puppy love,
But when push came to shove
You never came through.
But what could I expect,
You were just being you.

We're over and done,
It's no longer any fun.
I gave you my all,
But you never let me get inside your great wall.

You kept your guard up,
Never could be weak.
Hurt me so badly,
I could hardly speak.

I did love you once,
More than you'll know
And now I'm left here with nothing to show.

I'm worth more than what you gave me,
But I am finally becoming the woman I always knew I could be.

It was young puppy love,
But when push came to shove,
You never came through.
But what could I expect,
You were just being you.
